With well over 500 affiliates contending online with the hope to qualify for the live 4th Affiliate Series of Poker event held at CAP Euro, the event proved to be an outstanding success resulting in the largest number ever entered.
The fortunate 42 qualifiers began their mission in earnest for the renowned ASOP gold and diamond bracelet, a place at the next tournament and the $20,000 prize. Sitting at six tables of seven people, the contest was severe even though several players clearly had a sense of humor as J. Todd owner of www.apcw.org showing proved his devotion for Britain by wearing a big, novelty Union Jack hat and Ory Weihs and wearing a floor length "super affiliate" black cape. He finished second on this 4th event.
The final table played on day 2 of Cap Euro was televised on The Poker Channel. The guys from www.roundersradio.com making were among over 10 people deep trying to see the flop fall at times and made live comments.
The spectators were never jaded despite the fact that there were free bars displayed at nearly all expo stands and a setting of banging house music from the DJ booth on the Cake Poker stand.
After more than 3 hours and quite a lot of all ins we had the winner. Gabor Vidak from Hungary who owns the affiliate sites pokerhirek.com and gowestpoker.com is this year's ASOP London winner! After the victory he declared:
"I truly got pleasure from the tour, and I love the bracelet. I will be without doubt there on the next ASOP, because CAP is not only a great place to make business, but also to have fun. I'd like to thank the organizers for this extraordinary event."
But let's not fail to remember the affiliate managers who on a next door table were combating a battle of their own with somewhat more gravity than a WSOP final table. Unexpectedly approximately at the same time as the ASOP came to a close Daniel Cerny from Bwin finalized his win over his on and off table opponents walking away with a cool $1,000. Congratulations Daniel for being our first ASOP Affiliate Manager frontrunner.
To conclude, our credit must go also to the ASOP Sponsors, Everest Affiliates and AffiliateClub.com, who ought to have recognition because the tournament wouldn't happen without them. To make sure you obtain any updates on this event take care to register on www.asop.com.
