Keynote Address at CAP Euro Event

Saturday, January 26th at the CAP Euro event held in the Olympia Conference Centre, London the bright young entrepreneur Brent Hoberman will hold a speech, an experience not to be missed. He will share how his entrepreneurial idea in conjunction with the most recent innovations in technology has proved triumphant.

Brent Hoberman started his business in April 1998 with Martha Lane Fox in his London apartment. Brent created the initial plan for lastminute.com three years before, when working as a strategy consultant. Brent was 29 and Martha was just 25.

The company floated when the dot-com bubble was at its peak - the IPO was in fact 40 times oversubscribed and the price increase during the process was a record for a UK company. Their website is since then the number one travel website in Europe and it was back then the highest profile website in UK. In July, 2005 the website lastminute.com was bought by Travelocity's parent company Sabre Holdings Corporation

Brent remained CEO of the business and he is involved in sustaining and developing the Group's association with all the important stakeholders in the business including the financial community and our customers.

He lived with his family all over the world, (New York, Lisbon, Paris, South of France) but now has settled in Chelsea together with his wife Genevieve and his two daughters, Jade and Celeste.
